Serena Denise was born July 1, 1958 in Chester, PA and moved to Delaware with her family in 1962. She was called by God to preach the Gospel in the month of October of 1991. After much prayer, fasting, and searching the Holy Scriptures, she accepted the call in the month of April 1997. Serena preached her initial sermon on Friday, December 5, 1997. She is the last of three siblings to be inducted into the ministry. For 17 years, Evangelist Serena Ford has served the Lord joyfully under the direction of her father, Rev. Boston Ford Jr. (founder and pastor of Outreach Holy Word Christian Church) and has served faithfully in several offices.

Her ministry is not limited to the pulpit but is enhanced by her anointed music ministry. She began playing the piano at the age of 14 and, for over 21 years, has served the Tri-State area, as well as churches in the Maryland, Ohio and Connecticut communities. Evang. Ford recorded her first record in 1976 on the Chavis label and since then, has recorded with such artists as:

• The Wilmington/Chester Mass Choir
• The Gabriel Hardeman Delegation,
• Jay Caldwell The Gospel Ambassadors of Wilmington, Delaware
• And has directed The Serena Ford Outreach Recording Choir and the 2001 August Quarterly
    Festival Choir

Serena has directed and played the piano for the August Quarterly Festival Choir for (5 years) which is a big celebration where all churches come together to celebrate their heritage. She Was blessed to direct/play/and write compositions for the Delaware Baptist State Convention for the past 5 years. She also opened up for Yolanda Adams at the Grand Opera House, for Evangelist Shirley Caesar, Dorothy Norwood, Vicki Winans, and John Pee Kee to name a few.

She presently worships and is in service to the Lord at Outreach Holy Word Christian Church, under the leadership of her father, Bishop Elect- Boston Ford Jr. She is dedicated to the mission and is able to assist, and work in every area of the ministry. She is an anointed woman of God who has a mandate on her life to reach out and touch souls through God’s Word and Song.
